Supervision
Because Good Supervision Is Essential to Good Therapy
I offer clinical supervision for pre-licensed clinicians seeking hours toward licensure and view supervision as a deeply collaborative, relational process. My goal is to support clinicians in growing both personally and professionally, developing deeper insight into their clinical work, strengthening confidence and competence, and learning how to show up for clients in healthy, sustainable ways.
I am highly attuned to the supervisory relationship and the dynamics that emerge within it, knowing that meaningful growth and learning are facilitated through safety, trust, and open dialogue. I believe that strong supervision is essential to strong clinical work, and I strive to create a supportive space where supervisees can be vulnerable, curious, and willing to dive deeply into their cases and clinical identities.
My supervision approach is informed by my clinical work, which is relational, interpersonal, emotion-focused, and cognitive-behavioral in nature. I emphasize empowerment, self-compassion, and self-awareness, and support supervisees in moving beyond surface-level interventions to explore underlying patterns that impact both clients and clinicians. Together, we focus on developing clinical insight, ethical decision-making, emotional attunement, and sustainable professional practices.
As a clinical supervisor, I hold legal and ethical responsibility for the work conducted under my supervision. Supervisees are required to maintain active malpractice insurance and practice in accordance with their professional ethical codes and Washington State regulations. In alignment with state requirements, supervision includes attention to documentation, ethical practice, professional boundaries, and continuity of client care. Our work begins with a clear supervision agreement and informed consent process, and we collaboratively establish goals, expectations, and methods of supervision that support both clinical growth and responsible client care.
I provide clinical supervision in Seattle and surrounding areas. I am an approved supervisor in the state of Washington and meet the qualifications specified in WAC 246-809-234.
